UVA to enter settlement with the White House, days after rejecting Trump’s education compact

Just days after Interim President Paul Mahoney announced that UVA would not be signing onto Trump’s Compact for Academic Excellence, The New York Times reported that UVA is close to a settlement with the White House regarding UVA’s compliance with the Supreme Court’s 2023 decision on race-based affirmative action.
