Immigrants Become Citizens: July 4th at Monticello

In a moving ceremony at the historic Monticello, 74 new American citizens were naturalized. Following remarks from Monticello’s President and CEO, Dr. Jane Kamensky, and keynote speaker Ken Burns, citizens shared their thoughts on what being an American means to them and recounted inspiring stories of immigration to the United States.
