UVA students give historic bookstore a new life

UVA third-year Max Fleisher thought he would be helping Heartwood Books owner Paul Collinge close up shop. Now, he’s built a team of UVA students to run it as Gingko Bookshop: a nonprofit bookstore for the whole community to enjoy.

Conwell Morris is the President of WUVA, Inc. Conwell is a third-year from Washington, D.C., and he is majoring in Political Philosophy, Policy & Law. In addition to WUVA, Conwell draws cartoons for the Cavalier Daily, is a fellow at the Blue Ridge Center, writes for Virginia Cavaliers on SI, and officiates high school lacrosse in the spring.
